About Calming Currents

The practice is called Calming Currents to evoke the dual nature of currents in water— both peaceful and forceful— mirroring the ebb and flow of our own emotional and mental states.

Bridget Dromerick, LPC, LGPC is a neurodiversity affirming provider, valuing the lived experiences of each individual. She also works with many competitive athletes and student athletes, as a former competitor herself.

Specialties

  • Neurodiversity Affirming Care

Whether you’re autistic, ADHD, or identify as neurodivergent, you deserve therapy that understands and honors the way your brain works—without trying to change who you are. In this space, neurodivergence is not a deficit; it’s a difference. My affirming approach welcomes stimming, special interests, sensory needs, and recognizes unique communication styles are valid and important parts of your experience. Therapy is collaborative and tailored to support your goals—whether that’s navigating burnout, unmasking, improving executive function, or finding greater self-acceptance. You won’t be asked to “fit in” to neurotypical expectations here. Instead, we’ll work together to explore what thriving looks like for you, in a space where you’re respected, validated, and truly heard.

  • Sports Performance

Sport performance therapy is where mental health and athletic performance meet. Whether you're a competitive athlete, weekend warrior, or just passionate about your sport, this therapy is designed to support both your mental well-being and your performance goals. We work on building mental skills like focus, confidence, stress management, motivation, and resilience—while also addressing challenges like anxiety, burnout, injuries, or identity shifts that can come with sport and competition. This is a space to strengthen your mind like you train your body—so you can perform at your best, both on and off the field. As a former competitor myself, I understand these dynamics.

  • Young Adults

Being a young adult comes with a lot of change—new independence, shifting identities, big decisions, and figuring out who you are in the world. It can feel exciting, overwhelming, and everything in between.Therapy offers a space to sort through it all—whether you're navigating anxiety, relationships, self-worth, career uncertainty, or just trying to make sense of life right now. Together, we’ll work to build insight, coping tools, and confidence, while creating space for your growth, values, and voice. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to start where you are.
