Adult Therapy

What adult therapy would look like…

In working with Bridget, therapy is a collaborative and affirming space where you are met with warmth, curiosity, and respect. Sessions are shaped around who you are, what you’re navigating, and what feels most important to you. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, Bridget works alongside you to better understand your experiences, identify your strengths, and develop goals that feel meaningful and realistic.

You might come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by life transitions, relationships, expectations, or the pressure to have everything figured out. Bridget offers a supportive space to slow down, reflect, and build practical tools to help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself.

If you are neurodivergent, Bridget brings a neurodiversity-affirming lens that centers understanding and acceptance of how your brain works. Therapy may focus on areas such as emotional regulation, executive functioning, communication, identity development, and navigating environments that aren’t always built with neurodivergent people in mind. Together, you’ll explore strategies that align with how you naturally think, feel, and process—without trying to “fix” or change who you are.

If you are a current or former athlete, therapy may also include support around performance pressure, stress, identity beyond sport, and resilience. Bridget understands the unique demands athletes face and works with you to strengthen focus, confidence, and mental skills while prioritizing your overall well-being.

Above all, therapy with Bridget is a space where you don’t have to perform or have all the answers. You’re invited to show up as you are, move at your own pace, and work toward a life that feels authentic, sustainable, and aligned with what matters most to you.

STEP 1

Initial Phone Consultation

Prior to the intake session, please feel free to reach out for a 15 minute phone consult to get a sense of whether there is a good fit for your needs.

STEP 2

Intake Session

After the phone consultation and if we both think that there is an appropriate fit, we will schedule the intake session. In this first session we will go over your primary concerns, mental health history, family history, etc. I have a detailed intake packet that is very helpful if completed thoroughly beforehand.

STEP 3

Regular Appointments

We then move forward with scheduling regular appointments. I recommend starting at weekly occurrences for most individuals, and adjusting accordingly as needed.
